Suvarna River Hanging Bridge:
The Hanging Bridge, is a suspension bridge which connects Padukudru to Thimmannakudru villages (nearKemmannu) over the meandering backwaters of the river Suvarna and the Arabian Sea. It looks ever so elegant when one sees it from a distance against the beautiful backdrop of palm trees, forest cover and the traversing waters; but crossing it is really something different. It creaks and crackles when you get on it, not to mention it sways,yaws and heaves as you walk forward. But, that is the beauty of old suspension bridges. If it was your adventurous spirit that got you here, your fear should start to shed away as you gain confidence in the steel ropes which bear the weight of the bridge.
Delta - Kodi Bengre:
Delta or Kodi Bengare Beach is the meeting point of the river Suvarna and the Arabian Sea, the view is stunning. This hidden beach in Udupi is perfect for a day trip with fresh seafood and beach bumming. kodi beach stretches for 6-7 km till it reaches delta point, excellent place to see sunset.
St. Marys Island:
St. Mary's Island is a group of small beautiful islands to the north of Malpe Beach near Udupi. It is said that Vasco da Gama first reached this Island before reaching the Kappad Beach (near Calicut) while finding sea route to India.
The island has two beautiful beaches and crystallized basalt rock formations. The unique rock formations scattered through out the island giving a special landscape to the place. The rock formations are one of rarely found in the world. Eastern beach boasts of virgin sands, western beach is entirely made of sea shells. This unspoiled island is a very beautiful place with white sands, coconut trees, blue waters & pleasant atmosphere.
Sea Walk:
It is the first such sea walkway in the State for the tourists visiting Malpe, The point will be located near the tourist jetty, which transports tourists on boats from Malpe to the St. Mary’s Island.The length of the sea walkway will be 500 metres from the jetty and its width will be 8.5 feet. It has 15 benches on the walkway for the people to sit and enjoy the sea breeze.
Malpe Beach:
Malpe Beach in Karnataka is one of the unexplored beaches in India. Located at a distance of 66 kms from Mangalore and about 6 kms from Udupi, the Malpe Beach is an undefiled virgin beach. The beach has a never-ending coastline which is surrounded by three rocky islands on the western side. The Malpe Beach has a pleasant weather and clean white sand which makes it ideal for a variety of water sports activities. It is a hidden treasure that lies in the State of Karnataka. The beach attracts water lovers to explore this virgin beach and indulge in some exciting activities. This beautiful beach is lined with palm trees and covered with a blue sky that provides a perfect picture for nature lovers. The beach is one of a kind, you can lie down and enjoy the sunset or indulge in the water sports activities that will set your adrenaline pumping! There are a variety of resorts and restaurants located on the beach which give you a breathtaking view and also provide a remarkable experience.
Kaup Beach:
Kaup Beach is one of the major beaches in the city of Mangalore. With its tropical climate and bevy of attractions that beckon tourists from across the country, Mangaluru is a port city that promises to keep uplifting your spirits every minute you spend in this city. This beach is also popular with students who come from Manipal, a student town. The beach also has small shacks and eateries where one can sample a bit of the local cuisine.
